AN OVERVIEW OF WHAT WE DO
The process of delivering free supplies to your school and distributing them into the hands of teachers in their classrooms is easy but it requires space, planning and coordination. It also requires committed parent and teacher volunteers.
THE DELIVERY/DISTRIBUTION PROCESS
The process begins the moment the supplies truck pulls up to your school. We will coordinate parent & teacher volunteers to unload and transport the supplies to a secure area within the school. For the next 2-5 days this area will serve as our temporary distribution center. The secure space should be large enough to accommodate about 40 cartons of supplies, 6-10 parent/ teacher volunteers and 3 large tables. Empty classrooms, auditoriums, storage spaces, basements, foyers, and in some cases, hallways, are all suitable temporary distribution areas. Once the area is established, we will supervise the assembly of the individual supplies into notebook form and administer the deliveries to teachers in their classrooms. They, in turn, will pass out the notebooks to their students.
